The chestnuts are roasting, the fire is crackling and our new holiday ads are officially hitting the airwaves!
Starting today, you can see Best Buy’s holiday ads on TV and online. And — spoiler — there’s a whole lot of holiday cheer in these stories.
These ads put the spotlight on our customers as they achieve those small wins that make for meaningful moments throughout their day. Moments like achieving barista status by perfecting your morning cup of coffee before a hectic day or using your new projector to create the perfect setup for a holiday movie marathon.
Of course, it’s all made possible by technology and the expertise of Best Buy.
“Our holiday campaign builds on our fall ads that use authentic, diverse stories to show how Best Buy and technology can enrich life and help our customers achieve little wins that add up to make a big impact in their day,” says Bruce Bildsten, Best Buy’s executive creative director. “This is especially true throughout the busy holiday season.”
The campaign also leans into many of the ways our customers can use technology to make their shopping experience with Best Buy easier and faster with our app, curbside pickup and same-day delivery.
A look at the new ads
Special wins come to life in our “Long Night” spot, in which party-goers create an epic holiday bash, outfitted with the latest and greatest tech. Suddenly, a knock on the door brings the party to a halt and … You’ll just have to watch it for yourself! (Watch it at the top of this article.)
The second spot, called “Clandestine,” shows how a father wins the “Rad Dad” award by delivering the perfect gift to his family — all with the help of Best Buy and our easy-to-use app and curbside pickup.
The campaign was developed by Best Buy’s in-house brand strategy, marketing and creative teams. It was directed by Academy Award-winning director Darius Marder and master storyteller Bram Van Reit.
