For the second year in a row, Forbes has ranked Best Buy as the No. 65 company on its list of America’s Best Employers for Diversity.
We were named to this list based on results from a survey of 60,000 people who ranked their employers on topics such as age, gender and LGBTQIA+ equality.
At Best Buy, we pride ourselves on continuing to build an inclusive culture. We aim to reflect the population of the communities we serve to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers and our employees.
To support our company’s inclusion and diversity goals, we have previously shared these commitments that we aim to achieve by 2025:
- Company commitments – Last summer, we created a Racial Equity Task Force and announced a five-year plan that includes major company goals to address how we recruit, hire and retain our employees, and how we’re expanding opportunities for youth across the country.
- Digital and technology hiring – We’re also committed to hiring 1,000 new employees to our technology team, with 30% of them being diverse, specifically Black, Latinx, Indigenous and women.
About the list
Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to compile the list of America’s Best Employers for Diversity by surveying Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. Respondents were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their company to friends and family, as well as nominate other companies.
We’re proud to be recognized by Forbes for our leadership and work toward building a more inclusive workplace. In addition to this most recent honor, the magazine has also named Best Buy to its lists of America’s Best Large Employers, America’s Best Employers for Women and America’s Best Employers for New Grads.
