MINNEAPOLIS – June 13, 2013: Nintendo announced four new Wii U games at E3 this week including Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD and Donkey Kong Country Returns: Tropical Freeze. Wii U gamers got to be the first to play these new games at events held in 89 Best Buy stores throughout the U.S. and in 21 Best Buy stores in Canada. Typically only a select group of E3 attendees get the chance to play newly announced games, so this was a unique opportunity for gaming fans. It was a big hit, with thousands of people getting a coveted sneak-peek at the new games and feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
For those who didn’t get the chance to check out yesterday’s events, there’s another opportunity this Saturday, June 15 from 1 to 5 p.m. For information on participating Best Buy locations and how to preorder the games, check out www.bestbuy.com/NintendoEvents.
