By Best Buy November 9, 2012 MINNEAPOLIS, November 9, 2012 – Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) has announced the inclusion of Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE: BBY), the global leader in consumer electronics, on the 2012 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the second year in a row. The index is produced in conjunction with SAM’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment and uses a best-in-class approach to measure and compare companies, across 57 industries, on environmental, social and corporate governance. It is also used by investors around the world to evaluate leadership and risk management. Each year, Dow Jones asks some of the world’s largest 2,500 companies to participate in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment, with only the top 14 percent being chosen to be part of the index. Best Buy’s score has increased three points in 2012 to 54 from 51 in 2011 (on a 100 point scale). Best Buy was placed in the 68th percentile.
