The wait is finally over. The much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones are now available at Best Buy and BestBuy.com, along with a bunch of new accessories to protect and power them.
Customers who pre-ordered their new phones (and saved up to $100) will get an email when their devices are ready to be picked up, or when the devices are shipped to their homes.
Didn’t pre-order? No problem. You can visit your local Best Buy store or BestBuy.com to buy the new Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ and receive great offers, including:
- New and upgrade customers get a Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ for as low as $15 a month with trade-in on the Verizon unlimited plan;
- Lease two Galaxy S8s for the price of one with new line activation on Sprint; and
- Buy one, get one free on a new line activation if you have DIRECTV with AT&T.
With the new phones come new accessories you’ll need to keep your phone powered up and protected. Best Buy has one of the largest collections of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + accessories, including thousands of phone cases, screen shields, charging devices and more.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are both packed with unique features, including a bezel-less, edge-to-edge touchscreen with a Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display that takes up more than 80 percent of the phone’s front screen.
These phones will be the first to offer Bixby, a digital personal assistant. Bixby can do everything from learning your routines and suggesting apps for you to setting reminders and keeping track of your to-do list. It can even recognize landmarks in your photos and tell you more about it.
The new devices are compatible with the new Samsung Gear VR headset with Controller, which customers who pre-ordered will receive for free. These virtual-reality devices allow you to enjoy 2-D and 3-D movies, VR games and a range of apps.
And, given that Earth Day is this weekend, it’s a good time to trade in or recycle your old phone when you upgrade. If you do, make sure you take the right steps to prepare and protect your data – like backing up your phone and doing a factory reset — before visiting the store.
