Best Buy’s holiday marketing campaign brings excitement and nostalgia this season

The holiday season has officially arrived — festive lights are going up, wish lists are coming together and that familiar feeling of nostalgia and tradition is in the air. And today, we’re excited to unveil this year’s holiday campaign, which brings to life the fun and unexpected ways tech can add more joy, sparkle and ease to your holiday season.

With food-filled content from “Hot Ones” and “Binging With Babish” to wickedly fun sponsorships, this season is full of exciting moments we can’t wait for you to see. And yes, Gram, our spokeshologram, is back with some holiday friends that will feel sweet and nostalgic.

“Whether it’s celebrating your team winning on Thanksgiving, enjoying the newest movie release, or unwrapping the perfect gift, we know the important moments together make the holidays special,” said Jennie Weber, chief marketing and design officer at Best Buy. “This holiday season we’ve created authentic ways to bring Best Buy into these moments that we’re really excited to see come to life.”

Here’s a first look at some of the ways you’ll see Best Buy show up this holiday, as we bring the sparkle across TV, digital and social media platforms.

Serving up hot holiday partnerships

This November, we’re turning up the heat and partnering with some of your favorite content creators on YouTube and dedicated fandoms.

We’re excited to announce we’re partnering with “Binging With Babish,” a content creator who brings his love of films and food to life for his millions of followers. Host Andrew Rea will be creating and showing off movie theme dishes from Minecraft, SpongeBob and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation movies, all while using Best Buy tech as his sous chef.

We’re also teaming up with “Hot Ones,” one of the most popular talk shows on YouTube, for the first time. When you tune in to the Thanksgiving and holiday extravaganza, host Sean Evans and personality Camera Guy Bill will sub the side of sauce for a side of tech.

And this year we’re taking over all Wicked related content and communities on entertainment website Fandom.com, just as the highly anticipated “Wicked: For Good” film hits the box offices.

Gram goes holiday

This year, Gram is alongside some fun friends in our holiday ad spots. Gram is showing off the unexpected benefits of tech, all while bringing nostalgia and excitement of the holiday season.

In “Freeze,” customers get a first glance at how weekly doorbusters can help win the holidays. With deals on all the tech you need to check off everyone’s wish list, you’ll never feel more prepped for the gift giving season.

We know holiday traditions can sometimes be the best gift of the season. Step into our “Cookie” spot, where you’re transported to a holiday space filled with fresh cookies and gifts like Nintendo Switch 2, Oura Ring 4 and Beats Headphones wrapped for the family.

Influencer inspiration

“What would my favorite influencer give as a gift?” — we’ve got the answer for you. We’re partnering with more than 200 influencers to inspire your holiday shopping. Throughout the season, influencers will be sharing their favorite and latest tech from Best Buy — for that special someone, to treat themselves and their must-haves to survive the holidays and keep the festivities running smoothly.

We’ll also be featuring creator storefronts from the Best Buy Creator Program on our Gift Center to sprinkle in another layer of inspiration. Creators we’re featuring include fan favorites like Judner Aura, Jenna Ezarik, Just Josh Tech, Julia Crist and more. With two times as many storefronts available since we launched the Best Buy Creator Program, we’re really excited to see the inspiration fans will get from their favorite creators.

For the first time we’re also integrating influencers into our connected TV ads, teaming up with lifestyle creator Jenny Reimold to authentically bring family connection and holiday excitement right to your living room.

A trio of sports

You’ve probably seen Gram show off his tech expertise to NFL fans as Special Tech Coordinator, and now he’s going all-in on sports. We’ll have ad spots running during 30 different NFL games this holiday, including on Thanksgiving Day during the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens game. That’s only the start — we’ll also have special ad spots on Christmas Day during both of Netflix’s NFL games that we think might feel very relatable.

Plus, we’re also showing up on platforms like ESPN, Peacock and Telemundo, where passionate fans of professional basketball and soccer turn the channel to at game time.
