‘Tis the season for corn on the cob, deep-fried nachos and bacon on a stick. That’s right, it’s time for the Great Minnesota Get Together (AKA the Minnesota State Fair), and Best Buy will be part of the action in our hometown market.
We’re showcasing an ENERGY STAR® refrigerator, dishwasher and laundry pair in the Eco Experience Building within a mock-up kitchen designed by Natural Built Homes.
The Eco Experience is a one-of-a-kind educational exhibit filled with hands-on activities, demonstrations and resources. It’s a fun way to help educate consumers about sustainable technology, including ENERGY STAR certified products. In 2015, Best Buy sold enough ENERGY STAR certified products to collectively save our customers more than $67 million in annual energy costs.
The “blue ribbon” showpiece of our booth is the new Samsung Family Hub refrigerator. Its three internal cameras help reduce food waste by letting you know what’s in your fridge at all times and by tracking expiration dates. Also, the 21.5” LED touchscreen will keep your family organized and entertained. Even with these bells and whistles, this fridge is ENERGY STAR certified, meaning it meets the highest standard of energy efficiency, which can save you money on your utility bill.
When you’re at the fair, check out the Best Buy booth to see how a smart home can be a more sustainable home! The fair runs through Sept. 5.
