At 11 Best Buy Teen Tech Centers across the United States, teens in underserved communities get hands-on access to technology and instruction so they can find inspiration and learn new skills.
We’re proud to be expanding those opportunities to more cities this year.
In partnership with The Clubhouse Network, Best Buy is seeking proposals from nonprofit community organizations to host new Teen Tech Centers. The locations are Cincinnati, Las Vegas, the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, New Orleans and Nashville, Tennessee. Interested potential partners, particularly those with existing after-school teen programs, are encouraged to view the proposal site and sign-up to attend an upcoming RFP workshop happening soon in your city.
At Best Buy Teen Tech Centers, teens learn:
- Music production and audio editing
- Art creation
- Photography and video editing
- Coding to control robotics and make mobile applications
- Animation and design for interactive poetry, stories, and games
- 3D-object design
Through peer collaboration and mentor guidance, youth gain a sense of confidence and become excited about technology education, helping to bridge the digital divide for themselves and others. These new skills and experiences help them succeed in their future careers, contribute to their communities, and lead outstanding lives.
