Best Buy has been named to Seramount’s 2022 Top 75 Companies for Executive Women list.
The list celebrates companies that champion women’s advancement, with a focus on succession planning, profit-and-loss roles, gender pay parity, support programs and flexibility programs. Seramount, now part of EAB, is a strategic professional services and research firm dedicated to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
We’re proud of this recognition and to have women leaders at the highest levels of our company. That includes CEO Corie Barry and 45% of our board of directors.
Commitment to equity and inclusion
Best Buy is committed to gender equity and supporting our women employees. Here are just a few ways we’re fostering a workplace of equity and inclusion where women leaders thrive:
- We’ve partnered with The Mom Project to help more women, especially working moms, find great jobs across our company.
- We signed Parity.org’s ParityPledge, committing to interview at least one qualified female candidate for every open position at the vice president level and above.
- We offer a wide range of benefits to support women and families, including caregiver pay, paid leave, flexible work options, mental health benefits and more.
About the list
The 2022 Top 75 Companies were chosen based on female representation at all levels but focus on corporate officer and profit-and-loss leadership ranks. The application, based on 2021 data, tracks and examines how many employees have access to programs and policies that promote advancement of women and how many female employees take advantage of them, as well as how companies train managers to help women advance. To be considered, companies must have a minimum of two women on their boards of directors and at least 500 U.S. employees.
