Luke Motschenbacher is the president of retail at Best Buy Co. Inc, overseeing the company’s approximate 900 stores in the U.S. He is responsible for ensuring the company’s retail teams deliver on our commitment to speed, flexibility and incredible customer experiences.
Luke’s expertise lies in his profound knowledge of vendor partnerships and how those relationships impact our field operations.
He has been at Best Buy his entire career, starting as an intern in 2004. During that time, he has managed and developed strategic relationships and led a variety of merchandising teams across categories and industries. Prior to his current role, he led the company’s home theater and digital imaging business.
Luke sits on the Executive Board of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and serves as chairman of the Division Executive Board. He also serves as a board member/trustee of the Minnesota Zoo.
He received both a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
