From the moment he was born, James Trivizo had a front row seat to the tech industry. Both his parents were computer programmers who always brought the latest gadgets into the house.

He’s keeping up the family tradition now as the official Best Buy Ignite store expert in Mountain View, California. There, he shares his passion for technology with anyone who wanders into the store’s unique innovation area, which features hands-on access to the newest gadgets from start-ups and entrepreneurs.

“Customers have really been fascinated by our selection of new technology,” James said.

If you geek out whenever you get a glimpse of cool, new tech devices, there’s a new page on BestBuy.com that’s sure to spark your interest.

We have introduced a Best Buy Ignite web page dedicated to the latest and greatest tech from startups. You can browse, learn about and shop for a variety of innovative gadgets — everything from wireless earbuds to a 3-D printer to a smart jump rope (yep, that’s a real thing).

The new page is the next step in our broader Best Buy Ignite program.

Silicon Valley is the heart of tech innovation, so it’s only fitting Best Buy would go there to open a new, one-of-a-kind store experience that showcases the latest technology from some of the world’s most inventive entrepreneurs and startups in consumer electronics.

We’ve added dedicated space inside our new Mountain View Best Buy store (which opened Sept. 16 after relocating from its previous location in Sunnyvale) where customers can discover and learn about some of the newest tech products on the market.

For more than 50 years, customers have relied on Best Buy to help them learn about and enjoy consumer electronics. Now, Best Buy’s Ignite program gives customers access to even more of the latest technology from some of the world’s most inventive entrepreneurs and startups in consumer electronics.

Key features of the program include dedicated store space for products and services from startups; a new section on BestBuy.com where customers can browse, learn about, and purchase the newest products from startups; and a partnership with PCH, a product innovation company that works closely with startups to help get their products into consumers’ hands, faster and at a lower cost.
