Recognition from CDP's Climate A List

08 Dec: Best Buy makes CDP’s 2021 Climate A List for fifth year

We’re so excited to have been named to CDP’s prestigious Climate A List for the fifth consecutive year, recognition for our continuing work on making a positive impact on the planet and in our communities.

For more than a decade, we have been recognized as a leader by CDP for tackling climate change and accelerating our environmental goals, which we’ve done by creating new sustainability programs that touch every part of our business. This year’s recognition is based on our actions to cut emissions, mitigate climate risks and drive a low-carbon economy.

08 Dec: Best Buy Named to CDP’s 2020 Climate A List

Best Buy has been named to CDP’s prestigious Climate A List for the fourth consecutive year, demonstrating our continued leadership in addressing climate change.

The recognition is based on our actions to cut emissions, mitigate climate risks and foster the development of a low-carbon economy. We are one of only five retailers on the list.

“We are a purposeful, values-driven company,” said Hugh Cherne, associate director of sustainability at Best Buy. “Our decade-long CDP engagement has led to a deeper understanding of climate risks and opportunities, and it has reinforced our commitment to safeguard our communities’ well-being.”

Climate Change Card

22 Jan: Best Buy named to top tier of companies fighting climate change

Best Buy’s environmental report card is out – and we’re at the top of the class when it comes to tackling climate change.

It’s a big deal for us because CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project) is the global authority on environmental issues, including climate change.

This is the third time CDP has recognized Best Buy as an environmental leader on the Climate A List. The distinction puts Best Buy among the top 5 percent of companies participating in CDP’s climate change program.
