Best Buy has earned a perfect score of 100% on the Disability Equality Index (DEI), ranking among the leading companies on the list of Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion for the seventh year in a row.

The DEI is a benchmarking tool used by Fortune 1000 companies to better understand how they can achieve disability inclusion and equality.  The index measures culture and leadership, companywide access, community engagement, supplier diversity, recruitment, benefits, and employee retention and advancement.

July 26 marks the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a civil rights law that makes sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. The ADA prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation and all public and private places that are open to the general public.

The criteria include culture and leadership, enterprisewide access, community engagement, supplier diversity and employment practices, such as benefits, recruitment and retention.
