6 buzzworthy new titles on display at E3

E3, the biggest video game expo around, opened its doors Tuesday in Los Angeles to thousands of eager fans. So we’re at the Los Angeles Convention Center to get some sneak peeks at the most anticipated titles coming this year.

Here are six E3 highlights you need to know:

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Unsure if your favorite fighter would be included in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Rest easy.

Nintendo has made sure that everyone will be joining in on the action. That’s 60-plus fighters for the new game, which is expected to arrive on Dec. 7 (but you can pre-order now).

Fallout 76

Following in the footsteps of Fallout 4, Bethesda is opening the vault for Fallout 76. The new game is entirely online, bringing a multiplayer option so you and other vault dwellers can team up to survive a post-apocalyptic world. Fallout 76 is available for pre-order now and hits stores Nov. 14.

Halo Infinite

Microsoft announced the next chapter in the Halo saga, Halo Infinite, coming to both Xbox One and PC. Master Chief is back, and the trailer shows a sneak peek of his greatest adventure in brand new landscapes. Release date is TBD.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Set in Ancient Greece hundreds of years before the Origins chapter, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is expected to hit shelves on Oct. 5. Battle as a Spartan hero during the Peloponnesian War, and pre-order now for early access to The Blind King mission.

Battlefield V: Battle Royale

Gamers can square off in battle-royale mode in the newest Battlefield V and choose classic modes like conquest, or ally with friends in the cooperative combined arms. It’s expected to arrive on Oct. 16, but pre-orders are available now.

The Last of Us 2

Turns out The Last of Us, which came out in 2013, wasn’t the last of its franchise.

Fans got a lengthy glimpse at what the new game, which will be exclusive to PlayStation 4. Release date TBD.
