In partnership with Bose, professional football player Justin Jefferson stopped by the Best Buy Teen Tech Center® at Summit Academy OIC earlier this week. During his visit at the Teen Tech Center, powered by Koch Trucking, Jefferson checked out tech projects youth participants were working on and spent time in the music recording studio.
Following the tour, Jefferson was part of a Q&A session with youth, where he shared more about his career and talked to teens about their future career aspirations.
As part of our mission to help teens build brighter futures through technology, Bose has partnered with the Best Buy Foundation to provide headphones and other support to the network of Best Buy Teen Tech Centers across the country.
Building brighter futures in Minnesota
Earlier this year, we celebrated a major milestone with the opening of Minnesota’s 10th Best Buy Teen Tech Center, a program of the Best Buy Foundation.
Each center provides a safe, after-school spaces where teens can get hands-on experience with the latest technology. Adult mentors and volunteers provide the support to create, innovate and explore. Teens can explore their passions with access to cutting-edge technology including tools for film, digital media, audio engineering and music production.
As part of our commitment to support youth across the country, we have set a goal of opening 100 new Teen Tech Center® locations by 2025.
The Best Buy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization founded by Best Buy in 1994 to support opportunities to build brighter futures for teens from disinvested communities.
