In the coming weeks, we’re rolling out new features designed to give customers a personalized shopping experience that’s as unique as they are. And one of the coolest parts is that each time you open the app, your experience will become more tailored and relevant. And even better, we‘ll be adding more and more proactive alerts to enhance every step of your technology journey with Best Buy.
These new experiences will help unlock your imagination and inspire you to find technology that can elevate the world in ways you never thought possible. By continuing to leverage technologies including AI, we’ve personalized our app and put you in the driver’s seat, allowing you to shop and see products, categories and services the way you want.
For customers with a My Best Buy Plus™ or My Best Buy Total™ membership, you’ll also be able to enjoy an even more personalized experience while shopping within the app, including exclusive member deals and personalized offers. As a Plus or Total member, we’ll even send you push notifications to alert you on relevant deals, help you understand all the benefits of your membership, and even to celebrate and track how much money you’ve saved by taking advantage of your exclusive offers.

Experience a more personalized home screen
Your home screen will be powered by AI and will deliver a distinct and engaging shopping experience based on what you are most interested in and where you are in your technology journey. This means each customer’s app home screen will look different, because it’s based on your personal preferences and other factors like shopping history, membership status and what we know you care about most. So if you recently bought appliances that needs installation, you will see where your product is and when installation is scheduled. Or if you’re always on the lookout for the latest in gaming, that category will often be front-and-center. Other examples you might see on the home screen include the newest and hottest deals, latest gadgets from your favorite brands, recommendations on products or services or even a prompt to shop with one of our experts and save you time.
Discover a world of endless possibilities
This new tab was created to encourage you to explore and provides a range of recommendations that showcase both new and favorite tech products as well as seasonal and holiday assortments. This inspiration spans across hundreds of categories and thousands of products to fit any preference or occasion. It also brings together features like Best Buy Drops, which gives customers a chance to access limited time deals on amazing tech, and Yes, Best Buy Sells That™, that helps you discover unexpectedly cool products and categories that you had no idea were even available at Best Buy. We’re talking stuff that can elevate every area of your life including indoor smokers, power washers, cold therapy gear, outdoor solar equipment – the list goes on. Our new Shop with Videos experience delivers personalized video content on the items you find most intriguing for a more fun and visual shopping exploration.
Live track your progress
We can now guide our iPhone customers along every step of their journey. This feature displays live tracking progress on your iPhone lock screen and in your dynamic island, that little black oval you might find the top of your screen. Today, you can use this feature when picking up your order from one of our stores, and soon we’re adding new experiences we can deliver that will help you easily see, in real-time, the important updates that matter most to you. Leverage your digital wallet
This option makes it faster and easier for you to complete your purchases. The wallet securely stores your payment information for easy transacting and is your one-stop-shop to see your offers, reward points, purchase history, receipt preferences and more. In the coming weeks, we’ll also launch a feature that will let you check in at stores, use your membership benefits and access your rewards through a single QR code. Eventually, we’ll roll out the ability for you to easily pay with this same feature.
Personalized push notifications and navigation bar
You will more easily be able to get to the information that matters most to you with these options. You can opt-in to receive specific and personalized push notifications that will help alert you when you’ve earned a reward or if it’s about to expire, when the latest smartphone or tablet becomes available for pre-order or even when that product you’ve had your eye on for a while goes on sale.
