23 Dec: Best Buy Employees Bring Holiday Cheer to Kids in Hospital

Some elves from Best Buy met at Children’s Hospital of Orange County on Thursday to help unload a car full of toys.

Best Buy store and district leaders in southern California donated the new, unwrapped gifts. The hope was that each present would lift the spirits of sick kids who must spend their holiday in the hospital.

“The minute we asked, without hesitation they all jumped in,” said Grace Valencia, a human resources manager. “That’s just the great culture we’ve built.”

Bringing joy

Agent Kevin Bostwick works at the hospital’s Geek Squad Precinct and knows firsthand how the small things can often make a big difference to families.

Best Buy supports better futures for teens:

The need for youth to be tech-savvy and develop the 21st-century skills to set them up for future career success is more important than ever. Yet too many teens have little or no access to technology and as a result, they fall behind their peers.

At Best Buy, we’re on a mission to provide teens with opportunities where they can develop technology skills that will inspire future education and career choices.
