Instead of visiting customers’ homes like they normally would, our In-Home Advisors are providing consultations by chat, phone and video. They’re specially trained whole-home experts who can help with anything from setting up a home office to updating a home Wi-Fi network.
Virtual in-home consultations are easy to set up. On BestBuy.com or using the Best Buy Home app, you can chat live with an In-Home Advisor 24/7. You can also schedule an appointment to take place by phone or video chat – whatever works best for you.
They will listen to what you want to do and provide custom recommendations to make it happen. If you decide to move forward with the recommendation, your advisor will handle all the details, including scheduling delivery.
Cortney Sanders, an Ohio-based In-Home Advisor who specializes in smart home design, said she has enjoyed being able to continue to help her clients by video.
“A lot of what we do can be done by walking clients through it over the phone,” she said. “With video, I can walk someone through something that may not have been as obvious via chat or a phone call.”
Plus, the video option makes things more human during this time of social distancing.
“Having someone’s face right in front of you is more personal. It makes you feel like someone is there,” she said. “It’s really helpful in building that connection with people.”
