To help spread a little magic this season, we’re sharing a first look at our holiday ad campaign. It shows customers how they can shop confidently and stand out this year with Best Buy — whether it’s by giving the perfect gift, finding the perfect deal or deciding what perfect means to them.
These moments are brought to life in our holiday ad campaign through fun and easy shopping experiences, discovering new tech and great deals, and experiencing the joy of giving the perfect gift.
“We know our customers don’t want to give just any gift — they want to give the perfect gift and no one can help them do that better than Best Buy, especially during the holidays,” said Jennie Weber, chief marketing officer at Best Buy. “Every aspect of our holiday campaign showcases how we can help them find perfect, while also having some fun and making the holidays easier along the way.”
Here’s a first look at some of our holiday ads that shoppers will see this season across TV, online and social media platforms.
“Deals All Season Long”
We know that the holidays can be hectic and that many shoppers might have to find some time during the workday to get their hands on that perfect gift — even though they may not admit it. “Deals All Season Long” brings that relatable experience to life in a fun way.
Our customers loved last year’s “Playground” spot so much, we’re bringing it back to TV and online in a 30-second spot. The ad brings to life the Best Buy tech playground and shares the joy of discovering all kinds of new tech and the magic of finding that perfect gift.
“Shop with a Virtual Expert”
Our “Shop with a Virtual Expert” spot showcases one of the many ways that customers can get help finding the perfect gift: by easily connecting with one of our experts over video, audio or chat. The ad is created for social media and shows how our experts are there to help no matter when or how you want to shop.
Teams behind the ads
This year’s TV and social video work was created by Best Buy’s award-winning in-house creative team. The digital display, email marketing and audio was created in close partnership with Best Buy’s digital agency Accenture Song.
Best Buy’s holiday television commercials, created with production partner X-15, were directed by Amber Scheaffer and Jamie Babbit. Amber Scheaffer of O Positive is known for her spoof commercials on “Saturday Night Live” and Jamie Babbit of Independent Media is known for her work on Emmy Award-winning series like “Only Murders in the Building” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
