Best Buy is Bringing Home the (Sustainability) Hardware

It’s not just actors and athletes bringing home trophies and medals this season. Companies are being lauded for their sustainability performance, as well.

At Best Buy, sustainability has been a longtime focus. Even during our business transformation, we never wavered on our commitment to invest in programs that reduce our environmental impacts and help our customers live more sustainably.

We are thrilled to have been recognized recently by three highly respected organizations for our sustainability efforts:

  • We were ranked No. 3 on Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies. This first-time list ranks U.S. companies based on performance related to all stakeholders.
  • We were named to the FTSE4Good Index for the fifth year. The index includes publicly traded companies with strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices. We ranked in the 98th percentile among the Consumer Goods supersector.
  • We were also featured in Ceres’ Roadmap for Sustainability report for our responsible supply chain work. Ceres works with investors and companies to drive a more sustainable economy.

We’re happy to add these to our list of recognition. However, at Best Buy, we’re not in it for the awards. Sustainability is not only the right thing to do for our employees, customers and the planet, but it’s also good for business.
