This prestigious list recognizes companies that are leaders across a variety of performance and reputation metrics. Best Buy was recognized within the category of specialty retailers.

About the World’s Most Admired Companies list
Fortune partnered with Korn Ferry, a prominent global organizational and research firm, to create this corporate reputation list. They considered the highest-revenue companies in 52 industries, including 670 companies in 30 countries.
To determine the rankings, Korn Ferry asked executives, directors and analysts to rate enterprises in their own industries on nine criteria covering financial performance, leadership, quality of products and services, investment value, ability to attract and retain top talent, responsibility to community and the environment, and long-term investment value.
