Big news for Android users: Samsung unveiled two new smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge, today at Mobile World Congress.
Think you need to be in Barcelona to see the new devices? Think again.
You can experience the new phones in the Samsung Experience Shops in all Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores beginning this Wednesday, Feb. 24. Best Buy is the first place customers can check out Samsung’s latest and greatest devices in person.
The phones will officially go on sale March 11, but you will be able to pre-order the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge starting Tuesday, Feb. 23. And if you pre-order the new phone at Best Buy, you’re in luck: You’ll walk out with triple your phone’s memory with a free 64GB memory card and receive a free Samsung Gear VR[1].
The Galaxy S7 is available for $199 and the Galaxy S7 edge is available for $299 with a two-year contract through Verizon and Sprint. If you’re not looking to sign a two-year contract, remember that there are new monthly installment-billing options through carriers. These monthly installment plans allow qualified customers to pay $0 down and pay off their new smartphone over 20-24 months, with the option to get a new phone after 12 months.
The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge have a number of new and unique features. For those who prefer to have all their photos and videos in one place, the phones have expandable memory of up to 200GB with a micro SD card[2]. The phones are also water-resistant in case of those accidental drops and splashes[3].
This might also be a good time to find out if you’re on the right plan. More than a million people had their data plans reviewed at Best Buy stores over the holiday season, and 50 percent found out they were either overpaying for the data in their plan, or could get more for the same price. On average, Best Buy helped customers save $35 a month. Stop in to your local Best Buy store today and ask one of our expert Blue Shirts to analyze your current plan.
