Best Buy has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for the seventh consecutive year.
The indices are the official sustainability performance ranking of the largest 2,500 companies in the world. They follow a best-in-class approach to measure and compare companies on environmental, social and corporate governance criteria. The indices serve as a benchmarking tool for investors who incorporate sustainability performance into their portfolios.
This year, Best Buy increased its overall score, placing among the top 10 retailers in the world.
Best Buy Chairman and CEO Hubert Joly on Tuesday signed the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ pledge. It’s the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
Best Buy recognizes that diversity within an organization spurs greater innovation, revenue growth and strategic-critical thinking.

For the fourth year in a row, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) honored Best Buy with the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award.

Best Buy has received a perfect “100” rating and earned a place on the “Best Places to Work” list on The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s annual Corporate Equality Index.
It’s a recognition the company has now received 11 times.
The index provides in-depth analysis and ratings of large U.S. companies, taking into account the employers’ policies and practices put in place for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.
Best Buy has several teams that contribute to attracting employees and supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce, including the PRIDE Employee Business Network (EBN), the Diversity & Inclusion Team and Human Resources.

This year, Best Buy increased its ranking in the retail category, scoring in the 88th percentile, 20 points above the average retail company.
