Connected home products, such as smart thermostats and security cameras, can help you simplify tasks, save money on your utility bills and make you feel safer and more comfortable.

And they might even help you sell your home faster.

According to a recent survey by Coldwell Banker Real Estate, nearly half of Americans either own smart home technology or plan to invest in it in 2016. So it’s no wonder many of the homeowners polled said they’re willing to pay extra to “smart stage” their homes before selling.

06 May: Don’t Flip Out, Flip Your Fridge!

Is your fridge old enough to drive? If so, it might be time to flip your fridge and replace that energy-hogging refrigerator with a new ENERGY STAR® certified model.

Supporting the EPA’s ENERGY STAR “Flip Your Fridge” 2016 promotion, the Rachael Ray Show awarded seven viewers with LG’s new Black Stainless Steel ENERGY STAR certified refrigerator.  Best Buy will provide the new fridges and Best Buy’s Geek Squad will hook them up.

The Flip Your Fridge effort, which runs through Memorial Day, is being promoted across the country.

It’s one of this year’s most talked about products, and now you can see for yourself what all the excitement is about. The highly anticipated Oculus Rift virtual reality headset is coming to select Best Buy stores.

Best Buy is the first and only U.S. retailer where customers can try out Rift headsets in stores. Starting Saturday, May 7, we’ll have free in-store demos at The Intel Experience inside 48 Best Buy stores across the nation. Oculus Rift demos will be coming to additional Best Buy stores throughout the year, starting this summer.

28 Apr: Geek Squad Academy’s 10th Year of Summer Sessions Begin in May

Geek Squad Academy (GSA) is officially turning double digits! Entering its 10th year in 2016, GSA so far has inspired more than 30,000 kids from underserved communities to become the new generation of engineers, entrepreneurs, teachers, designers and dreamers.

The 2016 season kicks off on May 2 in Atlanta, Georgia, and will go coast-to-coast with more than 30 camps throughout summer and early fall. GSA works with local nonprofits and other organizations to provide much-needed technology education for students aged 10-18.
